JewelStreet is pleased to announced that they are finalists in this year’s UK Watch and Jewelry Awards for the Etailer of the Year – and have received £171k through its crowdfunding campaign on CrowdCube in 30 days, significantly exceeding its target of £100k in 60 days.
JewelStreets managing director Rob Passmore shared, “We are thrilled to be a finalist for the Etailer of the Year Award. It’s a massive vote of confidence from the jewelry industry into the business and the approach that we have taken.”
When asked why he thought the company was nominated, Mr. Passmore explained, “I think it’s the marketplace model which gives our designers a much fairer percent of the retail price combined with the initial reaction we have had from the public. People love to shop on trusted marketplaces and buy with confidence from smaller designers knowing that they are protected by our secure check out and guarantees.”
The award nomination coincides with the business scoring its funding target and raising over 160 in 30 days and is now, what investors call “Overfunding.” Mr. Passmore stated,” We are thrilled with the investment community’s reaction to JewelStreet and its proposition. We have set a cap of 200k on this round of investment which will enable use to develop the business further and create a stronger sales channel for our designers.”
JewelStreet is an award-winning jewelry marketplace that enables designers andjewelry loves to meet. With over 250 designers already with web boutiques live on the site, it is quickly becoming the place to buy jewelry online in the knowledge that the consumer is getting the best possible price and giving the designers a fair share of the retail price.
