Well most of you probably do not remember that Sharknado 2 ran a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo – but I do. Yes creators wanted to share the crowdfunding love by allowing their loyal fans to back this cult classic monster film. One of the most popular perks for the campaign was for a $45 donation you would get a shark named after you. If you were a bit more ambitious you could be an Associate Producer AND attend the premier including the red carpet treatment. That one cost $10,000 – and someone actually did purchase one of those rewards. So financial news network CNBC has not forgotten about the film either so they were kind enough to bring the screenwriter, Thunder Levin, on to their screens to share some insight into the forthcoming sequel of a film no one ever could have imagined being made: Sharknado 2.
