According to the campaign’s website, Astar Pet’s is on a mission to help pet lovers find everything they need to truly enjoy every moment with their furry pals. They are currently working on an online platform that allows small manufactures and local services providers, as well as establishing national and international brands to sell directly to their customers.
The company’s team noted, “We’re basically ‘not on the high street’ for the ‘Pet World.’ 88% of customers give their pet the same care they do their children or more. By taking out the middleman and not being restricted by physical shops or warehouse space, Astar Pets aims to enable these customers to shop from the broadest range of products to find the one that’s right for them, whilst helping suppliers reach more customers more profitably.”

Explaining previous achievements, Astar Pet stated, “Having soft launched at the end of March with a small marketing budget to prove out the business KPIs before our fundraising round, Astar Pets now has over 240 brands offering over 8000 SKUs. We’re aiming to reach over 10,000 by end Q3 and to have the largest range of any UK retailer by Christmas. Our community has grown equally fast with over 10,500 joining us via Facebook. And the platform we’ve developed is scalable and can be extended to other geographies as we grow.”
Founded in 2013, Astar is a pet marketplace that specializes in premium pet foods, treats, accessories, and toys. The company gives the customer the benefit of having all their “luxury” pet requirements in one place.
Set to close on October 20th, Astar Pets has so far received £91,390 from 39 investors.
