The one crowdfunding campaign to beat them all. Coolest Cooler closed their 52 day crowdfunding campaign yesterday. Coolest stands as the single largest campaign ever on the Kickstarter platform having blasted past the Pebble Smartwatch held the top spot for over two years. The 62,642 backers averaged a pledge of a bit over $212.00. The campaign generated an average daily amount raised of $255,485.00 – a pretty incredible amount.
In a note to campaign contributors today, Ryan Grepper, creator of the Coolest Cooler stated;
Hey everyone!
Thanks so much for the outpouring of support and excitement for the Coolest. YOU made the Coolest the #1 Kickstarter campaign of all time!
I know there are a LOT of questions about adjusting your pledges. Now that the Kickstarter campaign has ended, we’ll have to do any adjustments for shipping, batteries, etc. via our own external platform.
It takes approximately two weeks for Kickstarter and Amazon to process all the payments and share the customer information with us, and then we’ll need a bit of time to sort it on our end.
Expect to receive a backer survey from us in about a month. This is when you’ll confirm your order details, shipping address and color choice, and that’s also when we’ll request your shipping payment if you weren’t able to add it already.
Look out for your survey, and in the meantime we’ll keep sharing progress updates with all our backers throughout the entire production process.

While there was some confusion regarding the issue of adding shipping to pledge amounts and a few commenters have questioned various aspects of the crowdfunding campaign – most comments were laudatory – applauding the success of Ryan and the Coolest Cooler.
A bit under 2000 pledges were not for an actual cooler so that means there are over 60,000 coolers that need to be built, customized and shipped to the four corners of the globe. For the Coolest Cooler only a small part of the project is completed. But one thing is certain – there is global demand for Ryan’s crowdfunded invention.
