Women in Crowdfunding (Infographic)

UK based crowdfunding platform provider Hubbub recently had their creative team cook up an infographic that shares some interesting information regarding women in crowdfunding.

There has been much discussion pertaining to the power of crowdfunding to “democratize” access to capital for underserved geographies and demographics. Streamlining the process of access to capital in an online environment that is more efficient is a good thing. Women are traditionally under-represented in the investing world on both sides of the equation: as investor and as recipient of funds. Women are gaining ground though and this visual display helps put some numbers to the movement. The Hubbub infographich also highlights many of the female leaders in the crowdfunding space.
