Vinoa reportedly offers its subscribers a monthly sample box of great wines that are delivered via mail. Customers are also able granted access to an interactive smartphone app to help them learn a thing or two about wine and development.
The company gives customers an approachable way to learn a thing or two about wine, to explore new wine regions and new wines each month from the comfort of their home. Vinoa is aimed at 25-45 year old people who enjoy wine, gastronomy and who would like to learn a little bit more about and be able to taste and buy new wines.”
The Vinoa team shared,”We then create an interactive guide to the region as well as an interactive guided tasting. Then, using our anaerobic reformatting process, we reformat normal sized 75cl bottles into miniature bottles. Our business model is exactly the same as that of Birchbox, we are a sample subscription commerce: we make money from selling the subscription boxes as well as from the sale of full sized bottles.
“We have been in beta since beginning of September 2014 and have launched publicly in mid-November. Since then we have had great success, both in terms of sales and press interest with reviews in The Evening Standard, The Sunday Mirror, The Guardian Online, The Mail Online.”
