Luxury Milkshake Company Mr. Sherick’s Shakes Increases Equity Offered on CrowdCube

Waking up in Tuesday’s territory, your day may have started with good intentions: a proper breakfast, replying to all your work emails by noon, a brisk noon run…and avoiding ending the day with a slurp of instant ramen and Wednesday headache already in place. Congratulations if any or all of these happened. If not, there’s always tomorrow. But either way, a luxury milkshake–in flavors like Pot Au Chocolate or Strawberry Pavlova–could be the sweetest ending to the day.

Appealing to one’s inner child, yet one’s adult tastebuds, premium milkshake company Mr. Sherick’s is only five days away from the end of its crowdfunding campaign on CrowdCube. The Barnet, London-based company was founded by Andrew Sherick, a former food buyer for Marks and Spencer, with over 22 years of retail experience. Sherick was also the chairman of the British Sandwich Association, but seems to have moved on to dessert.

Sherick said,

“This is a luxury shake aimed primarily at adults, offering indulgent texture, much like melted ice cream,”adding, “We’d love to be a national, established brand one day,” as quoted in the Telegraph.

As of this writing, the  Mr. Sherick’s has raised £186,280 of its £250,000 target from 129 investors, with share type A (£2,000), B, and EIS pending tax relief. The company has also just increased the equity offered to 23 percent.

Mr. Sherick’s five flavors are Softly Banoffee, A Hint of Mint, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Pavlova and Pot Au Chocolate. Last September, the company also scored a win in the Grocer’s New Product Awards 2014, in the dairy-based drinks category with its Pot Au Choc shake.

Myself, I’ve never had trouble imagining ways to eat chocolate. But a quick glance at the @MrShericks Twitter feed includes plenty of ways to enjoy milkshakes for every season. For example…frozen milkshake ice cream (they look a bit like a chocolate Slushee) to heated milkshake chocolate for those cold winter days that are, currently, behind us.

A (belated) happy milkshake Monday indeed.
