Crowdcube Spain Crowdfunds Foxize School as Teachers and Students Pitch In

Raising capital for a private educational institution is not necessarily an easy task. But this recently closed offer on Crowdcube Spain achieved over half of its funding goal from both teachers and students as consumers and employees became shareholders.  This is the first educational company to raise funding via equity crowdfunding in Spain.

Foxize School raised € 204,000 from 186 investors.  The goal was to raise € 150,000. The minimum investment was set at € 250 with the average investment standing at a bit over € 1,100.  The offer also received an investment from Optimist Capital – a group that specializes in the sharing economy and internet.

The young educational entity was launched in 2012 and since that time it has seen over 15,000 students take classes that lean towards skills necessary for the digital world including finance, communication and marketing.  In the fast changing world of internet business it can challenging to manage companies and projects while keeping up to date on new strategies and applications. Foxize has developed an approach of “intensive programs” to boost skill sets and knowledge with a fast and agile model. A quick trip to the Foxize site shows a solid list of corporate clients that are using the company for executive training including; Bacardi, RBS, Pernod Ricard, Adidas and more.

Currently the school operates in Madrid, Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca with a network of 250 teachers. Classes are tought both online and in-person.
