The Moneywise Custome Service Awards 2015 took place this week. Described as the “authoritative stamp of approval by the UK consumer” recognition is given to financial service firms for providing exemplary service to their customers. In recent years as finance has altered direction and moved on line the awards have adapted to be inclusive of internet finance.
Zopa captured the title of Most Trusted Personal Loan Provider besting all the banks. Ratesetter was labeled the Most Trusted P2P Platform Provider just topping both Zopa and Funding Circle.
An interesting note was Lending Works, perhaps the youngest entry on the list having been in operation for less than two years, was neck and neck with Zopa for Most Trusted loan provider. The scoring gave Zopa 4.86 vs. Lending Works 4.86.
“Considering that in 2014 our business was too young to satisfy the nomination criteria, it is truly fantastic, flattering and rewarding to be named runner-up (second only to the ‘godfather’ of peer-to-peer lending) in this year’s Awards.
“When we founded Lending Works, we promised to always put customers first and have focused on creating a reliable, flexible and innovative platform that customers love to use, keep using and tell their friends about. Coming second in this category shows that the hard work is paying off.
“It is equally great to see that the top two Most Trusted Personal Loan Providers are two of the top consumer peer-to-peer lenders, demonstrating the appetite that more and more people have to make peer-to-peer lending part of their long-term personal finance plans.”
