Jilliene Helman CEO and co-founder of RealtyMogul was recently interviewed as part of the “Sharing Economy” series on CNBC. Hellman was recently listed as one of Forbes “30 under 30” roster under the enterprise technology category. Hellman was asked how she came to launch a real estate crowdfunding platform and is it catching on. She explained, “I grew up in a real estate family and learned real estate around the dinner table. I always wanted to provide access to more investors. Crowdfunding was the perfect way to do that. You can give access to tens of thousands of investors online and make it as easy to purchase as stocks and bonds. It is absolutely catching on.”
Asked about being a female entrepreneur, Hillman stated “gender has never really mattered to me. It is always about out-hustling and out-executing”.
