Eric Falconer, the creator of the popular television series, launched a crowdfunding campaign in early 2014 to help finance its feature-length film. The project closed on Kickstarter at over $1.9 million in funding with the backing of 23,999 committed fans.
Sharing details about the trailer, Falconer stated:
“We have a trailer! And a release date (2/2)! And a website! And you can pre-buy the movie! Check it out!
“If you donated $40 or more during the Kickstarter campaign, you are owed a digital copy of the movie within a few day of the release. I’m working with Lionsgate now to make certain that goes smoothly. As soon as I have the method and details for downloading, I’ll let you know. On the website there are several upgraded packages you can buy if you want to splurge. But rest assured, either way, you’ll get your digit download.
“We’re only a few weeks away! We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all of you! Thank you and Go Goats!”
