SyndicateRoom Series A Crowdfunding Round to Close May 22nd

Syndicate Room Co-foundersInvestment crowdfunding platform SyndicateRoom is preparing to close its self-crowdfunding round tomorrow (May 22nd).  The offer was launched earlier this month seeking  £2.3 million in growth capital. The intended use of the proceeds are for business expansion as it readies to deliver its brand of internet finance to a wider audience. SyndicateRoom also wants to double its employee numbers, currently at 22, over the next six months.  The company has raised over £52 million for 71 UK businesses since it registered as a funding portal.

As of today, the SyndicateRoom offer stands over-subscribed at just over £3 million as more than 270 investors have joined in to fund the fast growing and diversifying company.  Chris Hutchinson, a Senior Fund Manager at Unicorn AIM VCT, invested a million pounds calling it an “exciting time in the company’s growth trajectory.”  The lead investor, Jonathan Milner, added £300,000 to the company.
