Olga Kurylenko to Star Alongside Antonio Banderas in Equity Crowdfunded Film “Salty”

Olga Kurylenko has reportedly signed up to join the cast of the equity crowdfunding film, Salty. This news comes nearly two months after Antonio Banderas signed up to star in the upcoming movie.

SaltyAs previously reported, the project first appeared on SyndicateRoom in 2014. The offer allowed smaller investors to participate in the film project for as little as £1000. The offer later closed having raised £1.9 million.  The production was led by successful Director / Producer Simon West, who has been involved in many well-known films including, Tomb RaiderCon Air, Black Hawk Down and Expendables 2. West’s films have grossed over $1 billion in global box office receipts.  The story line for Salty is described as “Spinal Tap meets The Hangover” with a good bit of British humor.

West previously stated:

‘‘I am going to shoot Salty in a style that will exude energy, fun and glamour with elaborate and exciting action sequences very much in the vein of my previous films. With Antonio on board, it’s going to be a phenomenal picture.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kurylenko will be portraying Sheila Enry, who is described as the pampered supermodel wife of Banderas’ aging rocker and reformed sex addict character, Turk Enry.

Speaking about Olga’s involvement in the film, West shared with the media outlet:

I’m excited about the prospect of shooting in Chile, I’ve been very impressed by what I’ve found here in terms of talent and wonderful locations – I know we’re going to make a great movie.”

Kurylenko is known for her in various blockbuster films, including Quantum of Solace, Momentum, and Oblivion.
