This week, UK-based Wantsum Brewery launched a campaign on equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to raise£250,000 as it prepares to expand its brewery plant. Sharing details about the brewery’s growth, the Wantsum Brewery team stated it is a craft brewery that produces largely cask ales and is looking to increase its UK trade with additional lines such as canning, key keg, and craft keg lager, along with developing our bottle sales ad export sales.

wantsum-1Founded in 2009, the brewery has already won several national and regional Society of Independent Brewers’ awards. This includes a national silver award for its Black Prince Mild and its regional gold medal for Montgomery in the best bitter category. The crew also explained:

“Over the years our style of beers has evolved, yet we still maintain a permanent range that includes a spectrum from Stout and Mild across to Pale Ale and Lager. With a desire to grow a family business, Simon (James’ son) joined the Company in 2013 and is now the Head Brewer, and we believe his passion for American beer styles has brought a new dimension into the range.”

The brewery’s planet expansion will include the brew length and the company will purchase new fermenters, a canning line, key and key keg fillers, and open a Wantsum Alehouse. The Wantsum crew also that they are planning to growth significantly by removing high rental charges at the brewery, cask and vehicles. They will also increase production volume without employing a larger staff.

The campaign is set to close at the beginning of November.
