Crowdcube Celebrates Manchester Office’s Six Month Anniversary

Happy six month anniversary, Crowdcube North! The equity crowdfunding platform celebrated its Manchester office by revealing some facts about the location’s already success. Before opening the office, Crowdcube stated that it helped nine businesses in the North West to raise more than £1.4 million in the last two years, including Ideas Britain which secured £270,000 to launch in the UK.

Manchester The Crowdcube team shared:

We’ve just reached our six month anniversary since we launched Crowdcube North, our office situated in Manchester, which covers the Northern region. It has recently been reported by Beauhurst that the North East is set for growth, with the number of equity investment deals continually increasing. The total amount raised in this region on Crowdcube equates to £25.5m for 80 raises. The majority of funded businesses have gone on to achieve great things, with a success rate of 92% in the North (percentage of funded businesses on Crowdcube that are still trading), the companies are achieving great things and stimulating the growth in the UK.”

Some of the North were from notable companies such as the Yorkshire Meatball Co., Houghton Honey, Seven Bro7hers Brewery, Vibe Tickets, Filmore & Union, GF Foods, Tutora, and Three Plan Bee. Adam Gillett, Crowdcube’s senior business development manager in the North, added:

“It has been a fantastic period for Crowdcube in the North and we are rightly proud of our achievements in funding some exceptional businesses. We have a long way to go to achieve our ambitions across the region, and working alongside businesses like Vibe Tickets, SEVEN BRO7HERS, Dirt Factory and others will only help us to grow more rapidly.
