Indiegogo Success Oomi Smart Home Named 2017 CES Innovation Award Honoree

Just a few days before the 2017 CES took place in Las Vegas, Indiegogo success Oomi Smart Home announced it was named an innovation award honoree of the event. The CES Innovation Awards are notably sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM, the producer of this years’ event. Products entered in the award competition are judged by a panel of judges that consists of industrial designers, independent engineers, and members of the trade media.

Oomi Family SecurityAs previously reported, Oomi offers users the ability to simply control and monitor their home’s lighting, ambiance, air quality, security, entertainment streaming and much more all from one sleek remote, the Oomi Touch. The product has continuously built with technology and patent pending features that not only ensure easy set-up of all its accessories; it also allows integration of other smart home devices. Fathem, the creator of Oomi Smart Home, successfully secured $1,790,511 during its time on Indiegogo in 2015.

Colin Marshall, Vice President at Fantem, stated:

“When we embarked on this journey to create Oomi we were driven by the notion that the smart home wasn’t smart unless it was made for everyone. We knew that status quo wasn’t going to move the needle; we would have to do something completely different. To be selected again as an honoree, along with some of the most innovative consumer technologies, is a wonderful testament to our efforts and we can’t wait to finally share Oomi with everyone.”

Meanwhile, Oomi is currently shipping to the backers of its Indiegogo campaign and will begin taking preorders in February, with delivery late Spring 2017.
