LendIt Announces 2017 PitchIt Finalists

LendIt, the global lending and fintech conference series, announced on Tuesday the eight finalists for its fifth PitchIt @ LendIt competition. According to the event organizers, in partnership with 500 Startups and sponsored by Marqeta, the PitchIt competition fintech startup finalists were reportedly chosen from nearly 300 applicants who covered all areas of fintech such as insurtech, blockchain, payments, online lending, credit and artificial intelligence.

The 2017 PitchIt finalists are the following:

  • Nova Credit
  • StackSource
  • Alloy.co
  • Qwil
  • Aella Credit
  • Real Atom
  • Float Credit
  • WeTrust Platform

Speaking about the competition, Jason Jones, co-founder of LendIt, stated:

“LendIt and 500 Startups were overwhelmed with a record-breaking amount of PitchIt applications this year. We are excited to watch the finalists present on our keynote stage in front of hundreds of C-level executives and esteemed judges from some of the most prestigious venture capital firms.”

The finalists will pitch their concepts at LendIt USA 2017 on March 7th to a panel of judges from the venture capital community, which includes David Teten, ff Venture Capital; Kareem Zaki, Thrive Capital; Ben Malka, F-Prime; and Joel Monegro, Union Square Ventures. The finalists selected for PitchIt @ LendIt are also given the opportunity to work closely with mentors to prepare for the competition and provide ongoing support after. LendIt added that the mentors are made up of individuals from the companies and accelerators, Plug & Play Ventures, Startupbootcamp FinTech New York, Santander InnoVentures, Fluidfi, Opus Bank, TigerRisk Partners, Fika.vc, Nyca Partners, Fenway Summer Ventures, Marqeta, and previous PitchIt winner IndiaLends.
