“The ONESIXONE brand was created with the aim of being a global niche brand of handbags, internationally positioned in the luxury sector through a single, exclusive, personalized and limited collection. We created only 161 units numbered and customized with just two collections a year, which are lovingly made by hand using centuries-old tradition. We want to be ahead of our time, pioneer, visionary, looking for the harmony of a woman in all aspects creating different and unique experiences through emotions, sensations and new dialogue with the woman.”
OneSixOne was created in late 2015 with the aim of becoming a niche brand of handbags worldwide, with the intention of creating a luxury product that responds to a real demand of market and at the same time can be sold over the Internet supported by physical points of sale.
Within 10 months the Seville, Spain-based fashion startup already has a global commercial presence in boutiques located in France, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, United States and United Kingdom as well as in Fenwick and El Corte Inglés department stores. Commercial planning is also set for Korea, Japan and Russia.
The fashion house has linked with Crowdcube Spain to raise 400,000€. To date, the campaign has raised over 146,340€ from over 28 investors. 91,500€ is currently registered at the largest investment. Funding will be utilized to create a web platform to sell the company’s high luxury products targeting a global elite population segment with high demand for this type of product and high web sales rate. Armed with exclusive products and with very limited edition, OneSixOne aims to make its objects highly desirable.
“Our goal is to create a brand for a group of dedicated customers who wait every six months for the launch of the new model at a unique event, special for them which symbolizes distinction and exclusivity and also provides a way of meet their needs,” according to the campaign. “Our products are made by craftsmen using the best raw materials. Maintaining a fixed clientele is our goal, to never grow in unit or model number in order to maintain exclusivity. OneSixOne is not a mass product; customers will have to wait every six months for a new model.”
At this writing, OneSixOne products have been featured in New York at fashion concept store Maryam Nassir Zadeh, appeared in the New York Times, Refinery29 and Wallpaper and on the social networks of Lady Gaga, Chris Pitanguy, Joanna Nolasco, Fiona Ferrer, Maryam Nassir, Maria Bernad, Michaela Kocianova, Irina Shayk, Evangelie Smyrniotaki and Chiara Ferragni international with an article on his blog, The Blonde Salad.
Helmed by CEO José Luis González Rodríguez, Adrian Salvador is the Creative Director (with experience gleaned from stints at Adolfo Domínguez, J Mendel and Manolo Blahnik) was recently named as one of the 16 most influential Spaniards in 2016 by Harper’s Bazaar.
Those who invest €500, will be given a 10% discount and a preferential right to buy exclusive collection items and invited to future collection presentations. €1,000 investors will also be given the book the formula of luxury by Susana Campuzano.
