On Friday, UK-based equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube announced it is celebrating the 2017’s funded by holding its annual Crowdcube awards. While sharing details about the event, the funding portal stated:
“These awards celebrate the best of British Entrepreneurship, showcasing a range of fantastic companies that hail from a wide range of industries. Your votes will determine the winner of each category, including Funded Business of the Year. 2017 was a record-breaking year for Crowdcube, with 120,000 investments made into 325 pitches, generating £130m of investment. We feel privileged to work with the innovative businesses that have allowed us to produce these record-breaking figures. Below is a small selection of these companies, shortlisted by our team across six categories.”
The categories are broken down into the following:

- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Industry Innovator of the Year
- Crowdcube Campaign Video of the Year
- Best Product of the Year
- Funded Business of the Year
