Overfunding: London Microbrewery The Park Brewery Surpasses £175,000 Funding Target on Crowdcube

Just days after launching its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, London-based microbrewery, The Park Brewery, has successfully surpassed its initial £175,000 funding target from more than 200 investors. The brewery, which was founded in 2014, had an initial 5,000 set up cost producing just liters a brew. Its goal was to create an alternative “thought-provoking” beer for its community.

We are a husband and wife team. We take inspiration from nearby Richmond Park to name our beers. We have 3 in our core range, plus seasonal specials throughout the year, ranging from fruit saisons, wheat beers, porters, and IPA’S. We sell in bottle, cask, keg and now can.”

The Park Brewery also reported that its beer is sold in over 100 outlets (bars, pubs, restaurants, and hotels) and we feel like we have only just begun. We are in some of the larger chains too including Majestic, Whole Foods, Double Tree (Hilton Hotel Group) and The Holiday Inn. Funds from the Crowdcube round will be used to continue The Park Brewery’s expansion and beer development. The company added:

Once again we have hit full capacity and our brewery is at breaking point! It is time for us to invest in new kit, gather an experienced and dynamic team, move into new premises to include a brewery tap, and start spreading The Park ales both nationally and internationally.”

The funding round is currently scheduled to close at the end of May.
