Pointvoucher Returns to Seedrs; Now Seeking £800,000 in Funding

Less than a year after raising £639,904 through its previous Seedrs funding round, Pointvoucher, a mobile gaming plug and play market platform, has returned to the equity crowdfunding platform to raise £800,000.

As previously reported, Pointvoucher was founded in 2015 and reportedly facilitates the connection between consumers and brands by giving them a reason to engage in a “fun, playful, and rewarding” way. The platform now provides an entertainment platform for consumers and a market platform for brands. Consumers may download exciting branded mobile games and play their way to real products and experiences for the time they spend interacting with the brands.

“Vouchers can be claimed in the branded voucher shops connected to the game or in the Pointvoucher shop where they are exposed to games from other partners. Brands will get a plug ‘n’ play marketing platform with high conversion rates, data & permissions, drive-to-shop mechanism, huge engagement rates and access to new customers through the platform.”

Since its previous funding round, Pointvoucher has reportedly launched four new mobile games and added +450,000 registered users to the new platform (launched last year).

“In 2018 we increased our revenue by 750%* and integrated 259 different voucher partners. We’ve further strengthened our marketplace by entering into a partnership with “The Entertainer” to deliver vouchers to users across the UK. In addition, last year we signed a deal with Eagle Eye which we expect will enable us to deliver even greater quality vouchers going forward.”

In regards to what the funds from the new Seedrs will be used for, Pointvoucher added:

“With this investment, we intend to complete the development of our SDK that gives access to the Pointvoucher platform, allowing game and app developers to benefit from increased user retention and revenue. We intend to also recruit new Software Developers to expedite the process, and start pre-marketing campaigns targeting game developers in summer 2019.”

The funding round is set to close at the end of May.
