Global fintech InvestCloud announced last week it has appointed Will Bailey as its new Chief Strategy Officer. According to InvestCloud, the newly-created role will see Bailey head up development on emerging product initiatives, which includes leading a strategic product team to apply the latest technology, from augmented intelligence to machine learning, across functions such as financial planning, client relationship management, and financial literacy. Bailey will also take on the role of a client advisor, providing strategic support to InvestCloud clients.
InvestCloud also reported that Bailey has a member of the InvestCloud team since the company’s founding in 2010 and will relocate from the London office to San Francisco. Previously, Bailey led InvestCloud’s EMEA expansion as EVP of Europe and Innovation. Speaking about his new role, Bailey stated:
“InvestCloud’s recent growth is testament to the demand for better digital solutions in the global investment industry. We are already achieving rapid growth in 2019, but to ensure this continues long into the future, it will be essential to continually innovate the capabilities of our digital platform. As InvestCloud’s Chief Strategy Officer, that is what I aim to do – create new and transformative products that will change the way investment managers work and evolve how the industry as a whole engages with clients.”
John Wise, Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman of InvestCloud, added:
“There is a clear need for the global investment management sector to not just modernize its business through digital transformation, but to future-proof it against increasing competition and market forces. Will is the clear choice to lead InvestCloud’s strategy and focus on emerging products. He will help continue to design innovative approaches to digital in the sector. An integral part of the InvestCloud team from the beginning, Will’s learnings from his role in the EMEA region and global market expertise will be crucial as we aim to be the partner of choice for the global investment industry.”
