Just days after launching its equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs, Killing Kittens, a UK-based female empowerment band that is leading a global movement through its events and social platform, has successfully surpassed its initial £300,000 funding target. The company’s funding round, which has attracted more than 100 investors, is offering 2.91% in equity with a £10,011,998 in a pre-money valuation.
“Killing Kittens runs events all over the world by women for women. The digital platform has millions of monthly users and grows from strength to strength. The Kitten world covers brands such as Kurious Kittens, Torture Kittens and soon to be expanding into Clothing, Toys, Media and Clubs.”
Killing Kittens employs a female-first attitude in everything it does and it puts women in control and encourages integrity, respect, confidence and body positivity for all. The organization noted that funds from the Seedrs will be used for the following:
- 45% Growth Marketing: The organization intends on increasing brand awareness to grow our community. This involves a fully specced marketing activation campaign in the UK and US.
- 45% Product innovation: With its new technology already being built, the organization aims to increase online revenue and retention from new and existing subscribers.
- 5% Hiring: Talent acquisition to build out from the core team.
- 5% Operations: Maintain running costs of online and offline operations.
The campaign is set to close in September.
