OurCrowd Founder and CEO Jon Medved Recognized as One of 17 Israelis that Shaped the Decade

Jon Medved, OurCrowd founder and CEO, has joined an illustrious group of leaders being recognized as one of 17 individuals who helped to define the last decade. OurCrowd is the largest investment crowdfunding platform in the world having raised over $1 billion since platform launch while boasting dozens of high profile exits.

Israeli publication NoCamels sought to highlight the “golden decade of 2010-2019” – a period where Israel became recognized around the world as a hotbed of innovation garnering the label of the “startup nation.” Countless international emissaries have visited the small country to learn, and perhaps replicate, the robust entrepreneurial ecosystem that has spawned many successful firms, tech unicorns, and affiliated economic growth.

While based in Israel, OurCrowd has set up satellite offices around the world to gain direct access to emerging firms for its investor base as well as to establish relationships with other investors and corporate partners.

OurCrowd has earned the sobriquet of the most active VC investor in Israel in 2019 a title held for two years running (Pitchbook).

OurCrowd’s annual Investor Summit is the largest of its kind in the world. Next month, the OurCrowd Global Summit expects to welcome around 20,000 participants from just about every country in the world to learn about what OurCrowd has to offer and the hot startup scene that OurCrowd is helping to finance.

Medved’s vision for online capital formation has clearly been an important variable in providing the fuel to power the innovation nation. Hopefully, OurCrowd will continue to do the same, on a larger scale, during the next decade.
