Atterley.com, a UK-based marketplace for independent fashion retailers, is now seeking a minimum of £400,000 through its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. Founded in 2012, Atterley.com’s mission is to bring together discerning fashion consumers and the inventory fo the “best” boutiques and independents around the world.
“Atterley is a marketplace for boutiques. We help to solve the macro-environmental challenges that independent boutiques are facing in lower footfall, rising operational costs, lack of resource & insufficient budget to compete online.”
Atterley noted that customers can shop a world of boutique-style securely through its global DHL delivery network, enjoying a diverse directory of more than 2,800 new, known, and niche brands.
“Marketplace sites accounted for 58% of online transactions worldwide in 2019. Our full-stack marketplace model provides our boutique partners with the power of the collective. We manage customer care, payments and logistics while sharing our active and growing global consumer audience of +190k.”
Funds from the Crowdcube round will be used to refine the Atterley.com’s technology stack and increase its team to create a “strong” foundation for scalable international growth. The company is now offering 6.13% in equity at a £6,120,000 pre-money valuation. Since its launch, the campaign has raised more than £265,000 from nearly 75 Crowdcube investors. It is set to close at the end of May.
