Groundfloor Says Q2 was a Record Quarter

Real estate crowdfunding platform Groundfloor says it had a record-breaking quarter.

According to a post on its offering page, Groundfloor states that it experienced an investment volume record during Q2:

“This past Q2 2020, the company generated its highest quarterly retail investment volume in the platform’s history (unaudited). This is a 48% YoY growth compared to Q2 2019 and a 255% growth compared to Q2 2018.”

Groundfloor offers property-based securities using Regulation A+.  The investment platform reports over 75,000 registered users have invested more than $250 million in Groundfloor listed real estate investments. On average, Groundfloor reports a 10.6% rate of return.

As was previously reported, Groundfloor is currently raising capital for itself via an offering hosted on SeedInvest, Groundfloor is hoping to raise up to $10 million in preferred equity at a pre-money valuation of just under $74 million.  Groundfloor has previously raised about $22 million since its launch in 2013 including $14.4 million from 3,200 public shareholders.
