Twin Science & Robotics, a new educational experience that up skills children with physical and digital products, is set to close its equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs with nearly £1.2 million raised. The company’s funding round made its debut last month and has attracted more than 300 Seedrs investors.
As previously reported, Twin Science & Robotics is developing a form of learning which is playful, individualized, and wholesome. The type of learning teaches old, current, and future skills. One which values both technological advancement and human compassion. Twin noted it is offering a hybrid educational solution to create this impact.
“Twin isn’t about technology. It’s about learning. Yes there’s coding and robotics involved, but there’s humanity too. With Twin, kids choose what they want to learn – whether they want to be a farmer or a physicist. Our job is simple. To give kids all the tools and access they need to learn the science behind the craft.”
Twin currently offers a digital product, Twing, which is a skill-based personal development and educational application for children currently targeting 7-11 years old. The product delivers interdisciplinary learning concepts (adventures) for children with mini-games, developing nearly 300 skills. Twin also now has physical products, Twin Kits, which is the education experience’s hardware products consist of electronic modules that can be attached with magnets. Using Twin kits, children can learn the basics of robotics, computer programming, and even artificial intelligence. Twin further revealed:
“Twing, launched in February 2020, has been free so far. In November 2020 (post-investment), we are planning to launch a subscription model to generate monthly recurring revenue from premium content. The target group will be families for individual subscriptions and schools for collective subscriptions.”
Funds from the Seedrs campaign will be used for the development of Twin’s platform and products. The company is now offering a 30% discount through the investment round.
