HOKO, the Homeowner’s Architect, Secures £446K+ from 251 Investors via Crowdcube

HOKO // The Homeowner’s Architect has raised 89% (£446,973) of its £500,000 target (at the time of writing) from 251 investors via its crowdfunding campaign carried out through Crowdcube. Currently, there are 11 days left in the firm’s campaign.

The UK-based company reports a £15,000,000 pre-money valuation, 3.23% Equity, and a £5.81 share price.

The firm explains that it’s using a technology-focused approach. HOKO adds that it’s striving to become the market leader in residential architecture. They provide “quality architecture for homeowners, at scale, by keeping the whole process under one roof.” They have “seen 143% CAGR and 970% client acquisition growth since we launched in 2019.”

HOKO further reveals that it has “achieved a CAGR of 143.73% from 2019 to 2021.” The firm further notes that they are “helping hundreds of people improve their homes.” The company has an average “star rating of 4.9/5 on HOUZZ, won the Best of Houzz Service Award in 2020 and 2021.”

HOKO has “Beta tested 2 new revenue streams – HOKO Build and HOKO Shop.”

As noted by the firm:

“HOKO is a turnkey home remodelling service for homeowners. We believe that homeowners are often forgotten by the architecture industry. We are focused exclusively on extensions and home alterations in a UK market expected to hit £47 billion in 2021.”

The company also shared:

“We have custom built Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and a unique business model to control the renovation process, getting the most out of our Architects and all aspects of the project delivery, from construction to interior design.”

Since their launch in 2019, they have “grown from a small Glasgow firm to employ 30 people, operating throughout the UK, picking up awards and great reviews along the way.” They have “a CAGR of 143.73% from 2019 to 2021 (2021 revenue of £368k, EBITDA -£156k) with a focus on lifetime value to capitalise on our traction.”

In 2020, they launched in London, Bristol and Birmingham, in 2021 they launched in Edinburgh, Stirling, Brighton and Inverness. As they grow, they are “helping hundreds of people improve their homes.”

The firm also noted:

“Our client base has increased by 970% since we launched to 246 clients to date. We have introduced additional revenue streams; we can now build the projects we design through carefully chosen partnerships with local contractors and offer full interior design packages. We aim to make HOKO the first household name for residential architecture.”
