FinScience Thematic Dataset Now Provided by Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point

FinScience, the Fintech firm of the Datrix Group, recently revealed that Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point now provides FinScience’s Thematic Dataset as part of an alternative data catalog.

The dataset allows investors to keep track of the trend exposures of thousands of securities.

FinScience confirmed that it would make available data on over 50 different trends — like vaccines, gender equality, veganism, climate change, hydrogen, telemedicine, space exploration — and their correlated stocks. These will be selected via an AI-powered tech to better inform/guide investment-related decisions to offer (potentially) sizable returns.

Thematic investing has gained a lot of interest across institutional and active private investors because it reliably identifies macro-level themes that are likely to do well.

Fabrizio Milano d’Aragona, CEO at FinScience and the Datrix Group, stated:

“Alternative Data will become a primary driver of active investment performance over the next decade. We are pleased that Bloomberg’s Alternative Data Catalogue will make our data available to its clients.”

Under the terms of the agreement, FinScience will be offering daily alternative metrics that allow investors to obtain a comprehensive overview of the most compelling and intensely debated topics, and to better understand the effects that updates about those topics might have on businesses.

Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point is Bloomberg’s web-enabled data marketplace that allows Data License customers to discover, access and use high quality, “market-leading” content from Bloomberg and third-party providers.

Bloomberg remains focused on expanding its alternative data offering, enabling customers to gain access to a catalog of curated alternative data, ideally positioned to offer key insights in today’s fast-evolving market environment.

As noted by its management, FinScience serves as the lab of Investment Artificial Intelligence.

FinScience is a data-driven Fintech firm established in 2017 by Google’s former senior managers and Alternative Data experts, who have “combined their digital and financial expertise.”

FinScience, thus, “originates from this merger of the world of finance and the world of Data Science through Augmented Analytics solutions applied to Investing activities.”

FinScience leverages 3rdPlace’s experiences “concerning Data Governance, Data Modeling, and Data Platforms solutions.” These are further “enriched through the tech role in the European consortium SSIX (Horizon 2020 program) focused on the building of a Social Sentiment for financial purposes.”

FinScience is “the only Italian one selected by siliconrepublic.com among the 25 European deep-tech start-ups to watch in 2019.”
