Pelion Venture Partners has announced a Medici Ventures Day. Pelion Venture Partners is the general partner of the fund that Overstock (NASDAQ: OSTK) enlisted to take over Medici Ventures, the former part of the business that oversaw tZERO as well as its other blockchain based ventures. Overstock is a limited partner in the fund.
The Medici Ventures Day will take place on May 10th and will involve the participation of former CFTC Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo, and Jonathan Johnson, CEO of Overstock. The event will also see several presentations from portfolio companies – most certainly tZERO will share an update along with Bitt, GrainChain, Spera, Ripio, and Watchdog Capital.
Overstock has performed well since it spun out its blockchain ventures. tZERO appears to be gaining traction too and they may shed some light on their joint venture on BSTX, a newly minted, regulated securities exchange that is blockchain enhanced.
The virtual event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on May 1oth and is open to the public.
