YAI Teams Up with DailyPay to Provide Employees with Financial Wellness Benefits

YAI, a New York-based organization dedicated to providing innovative services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), has partnered with DailyPay, the provider of on-demand pay.

Through the partnership, YAI is among “the first I/DD employers to implement DailyPay for its frontline, direct-care employees.”

With operations in New York, New Jersey, and California, YAI is committed “to providing employees with a superior employment experience, including maximized workplace flexibility.”

With more than 300 program locations and flexible schedules including full-time, part-time, and per diem work, the implementation of DailyPay was “a natural fit.” By offering DailyPay to employees, YAI can “enhance its competitive position in the workforce as it looks to increase its hiring and retention efforts as the workplace of choice in the I/DD field.”

Anthony Ottrando, Chief Human Resources Officer at YAI, said:

“We are thrilled to work with DailyPay to give greater financial flexibility to our frontline workforce. We are committed to finding new ways to acknowledge our employees’ value to the people we support and our broader community.”

With DailyPay, YAI employees “have access to their pay as they earn it, allowing them to spend and save on their own schedules.”

DailyPay research found “that 67% of employees who use DailyPay reported they feel less financial stress.”

Since launching DailyPay in September 2022, “nearly 40% of eligible YAI employees have enrolled in DailyPay, indicating its popularity among the workforce.”

Founded in 1957, YAI claims that it “remains at the forefront of an extraordinary movement aimed at empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.”

YAI and its network of affiliate agencies “offer children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a comprehensive range of services.”

YAI is committed “to seeing beyond disability, providing opportunities for people to live, love, work, and learn in their communities.”

YAI’s 4,000 employees “provide supportive housing, education, medical, dental, and mental health care, job training, community integration, and social enrichment for more than 20,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, in New York, New Jersey, and California.”

As covered, DailyPay Inc., powered by its technology platform, is on “a mission to build a new financial system for everyone.”

DailyPay delivers “the industry’s on-demand pay solution with modern, insight-driven pay strategies that help America’s leading employers to activate their workforce and build stronger relationships with their employees so they feel more engaged, work harder, and stay longer.”

Through its massive data network, proprietary funding model and connections into over 6,000 endpoints in the banking system, DailyPay works “to ensure that money is always in the right place at the right time for employers, merchants and financial institutions.”
