Remote Working Startup Reskube Aims to Raise £500,000 on Crowdcube

Reskube Ltd, a remote working platform based in the UK, has listed a securities offering on Crowdcube seeking to raise £500,000 at an £8 million pre-money valuation.

Investors will receive a 5.88% stake in the firm. Currently, the offering is in the private offering stage, having raised £200,000 from 5 individual investors. The equity offering is EIS-qualified, so investors will receive tax relief. The public round will open at some point today (February 21, 2023).

Reskube has created a “remote working resilience solution” that provides internet in a portable device with always-on power. Reskube Home was recognized by BCI Global Continuity and Resilience Innovation Award for the product. The company was created as “nearly 40% of UK workers report to be working from home.” Reskube was launched in April 2021 by CEO Andrew Lawton, who has a background in building a service business.

According to the company, the additional funding will help them expand the range of products with new iterations including Reskube Home Pro and Reskube Hub which are expected to be announced in 2023. The funding is also anticipated to enable Reskube to further develop its proprietary UPS and Battery Control Technology to reduce costs and further improve product performance and flexibility. Reskube Home Pro is said to be able to keep your laptop running for 3 working days.

In a release, Lawton said that during a time when remote working has become the norm, along with greater risk of power and internet disruption, it is crucial to provide a solution that can “withstand any challenges they may face.”

“Beyond that, this gets even more exciting because the potential application of an all-in-one power and internet solution, which guarantees unbroken access when most needed, is vast. From petrol forecourts and retail to gamers and campers and further to doctor’s surgeries and mobile medical centres in emergency zones. The list goes on … As we continue to evolve our innovative technology and enter new markets, we are extremely excited to launch this new funding round. Early interest has shown that others can also see the great opportunity that we have infront of us. There is still plenty of time for investors who want to help us end internet and power poverty.”

Reskube Home is currently available for purchase on the company’s website for £849.00.
