Private equity firm NewVest has partnered with global securities crowdfunding platform OurCrowd.
Noting that private equity has “outperformed other investment markets over the past 20 years” yet remains elusive for smaller investors, OurCrowd touted its new offering for its investors.
The NewVest Private Equity 50 Index Fund allocates money to some of the biggest private equity firm around, including Bain Capital, Blackstone, TPG, Insight, Clearlake, and WCAS.
The Times of Israel shares comments from NewVest CEO and founder Edward Talmor-Gera. He stated:
“Over the past two decades, private equity has yielded returns as much as three times higher than public markets,”
Talmor-Gera added that there has been a growing trend for investors to allocate funds to private markets, and they are bringing passive investing to this segment – now available for OurCrowd investors.
While a typical investment on the OurCrowd platform is $10,000, the PE fund starts at $100,000. OurCrowd is typically a venture platform but the online investment platform continues to list new offerings catering to the interests of its accredited investors.
