Blockchain Firm Neo, Web3Labs to Drive DLT Innovation in Hong Kong via Accelerator Program

Neo contributes almost $8M HKD to nurture start-up projects and foster the development of Hong Kong’s Web3 industry.

Winners from Neo’s APAC Hackathon will join “an accelerator program alongside candidates from Hong Kong’s leading Web3 developer base.”

Neo, the open-source, community-driven blockchain platform where developers are building the future Smart Economy, and Web3Labs introduced “an accelerator aimed to drive Web3 innovation in Hong Kong.”

As part of the partnership, Neo has “contributed almost $8 million HKD ($1 million USD) to the Web3.0 Global Acceleration Program as well as providing vital technical support, access to co-marketing resources, workshops, funding opportunities, and an extensive range of ecosystem benefits.”

Announcing the partnership with Web3Labs, Da Hongfei, Neo founder, said:

Neo and Web3Labs will be “sourcing the finest developer talent in Hong Kong and further afield to join the accelerator program, giving the support and guidance needed for Web3 projects to prosper.”

Five winning teams from Neo’s APAC Hackathon, which “has seen the finest in Web3 talent across Asia working with Neo at events in key cities, will join the program and will be announced at a finale at Cyberport on October 27th and 28th.”

As part of the Hackathon, five grand prize winners “will automatically gain access to the Web3.0 Global Acceleration Program accelerator program and receive support and guidance from both Neo and Web3Labs.”

Partnering with OKX, Neo’s Hackathon supports developers “across Asia and gives them the tools and scope to get involved in developing on Neo through languages they already know and use.”
