Heavyfinance Reports Financing 72 Diverse Projects, Allocating €4 Million to Support Impactful Initiatives

Heavyfinance CEO Laimonas Noreika has commented on how far the HeavyFinance has come in just a year, and the strides they’ve made in “advancing sustainable agriculture and climate-conscious investments.”

The Heavyfinance CEO said that the year commenced with a key achievement — securing €3 million in a successful seed funding round led by Practica Capital.

Laimonas Noreika added that this funding played “a pivotal role in advancing our commitment to the shift from conventional to regenerative farming practices.”

This came as they launched their innovative Green Loans, “providing farmers with 0% interest loans to facilitate their transition to regenerative agriculture.”

As the year came to an end, Heavyfinance says it takes pride in “having financed 72 diverse projects, channelling a total of €4 million to drive impactful initiatives.”

Collaborating with Agricarbon has allowed them “to delve deeper into sustainable agriculture practices, utilising advanced techniques to analyze soil samples.”

This, in turn, empowers the farmers “with valuable insights, fostering improved soil health and optimizing carbon sequestration. Moreover, our partnership with Clearblue Markets sets the stage for a significant milestone in the upcoming year, as we eagerly anticipate the sale of our inaugural carbon credits in the first half of 2024.”

Heavyfinance, which aims to remove 1 gigaton of CO2 emissions by 2050 through investment in sustainable agriculture, has reportedly “become the first company in Lithuania to obtain the European Crowdfunding Service Providers (ECSP) license, marking a pivotal moment for them.’

This simplifies their financial service expansion “across Europe while ensuring investor protection, transparency, and operational excellence.”

And their recent celebration of financing of “over €50 million in agricultural projects showcases the impact we are making in fostering sustainable practices within the industry.”

With the introduction of Green Loans, their team doubled, “welcoming world-renowned agronomists, analysts, and legal experts. We also gained the expertise of Mantas Mikuckas, co-founder of Vinted, as he joins us not only as an investor but also as an advisor.”
