First, SyndicateRoom reports that their 2020 vintage is up by 47%, their 2021 cohort is up by 42%, and their 2022 vintage is up by 6%. As for 2023, no update yet, but it is still early days for that vintage.

The EIS Fund benefits from significant tax exemptions for investors. Depending on how long the security is held there may be no capital gains tax. At the same time, a portion of the initial investment may be written off of your taxes.
