Top Traded Securities on Seedrs Secondary Market

Seedrs is the one securities crowdfunding platform that offers a fairly effective Secondary Marketplace for securities issued on the platform. Issuers must approve the listing to allow secondary trades of their private securities, and many do. This provides an alternative exit path to an acquisition or merger, or perhaps a public offering.

While still small, Seedrs has taken an iterative approach, adding new features over time and increasing offerings organically. The market is open once a month as sellers and buyers may express an interest in trading with transactions matched by the platform. An indicative valuation is posted on the marketplace

For the month of February, investors traded £323,000 in shares from 300 different companies.

The top five firms traded on the Secondary Marketplace for the month include:

  • Revolut – a digital bank that provides a portfolio of services that incorporate both traditional and modern banking features.
  • Rheal – a “superfood company “
  • CheekyPanda – a bamboo toilet paper company
  • Different Dog – a subscription service for nutritious and sustainable fresh dog food
  • UniCompare – a Higher education marketplace where universities find student
