Birchal, an online investment platform based in Australia, says it has raised $2 million in just 29 hours. The self-crowdfunding round was backed by more than 800 investors. Birchal says its own round was the fastest this year and the largest as well. Birchal is raising money at a pre-money valuation of $26.28 million. The funding round is expected to close on December 19th.

Birchal is the largest investment crowdfunding platform (crowd-sourced funding) in Australia.
Since the platform launch, Birchal says more than 300 companies have raised over $218 million. During fiscal year 2024, the platform reports 66 campaigns, raising $46.5 million—an increase of 16% in successful offers compared to year prior.
The company also highlights its inaugural “Birchal First Syndicate, backed by a $300,000 LaunchVic grant, blending angel and retail investments.

Other noteworthy updates include the addition of former Crowdcube founder and CEO Darren Westlake and former Investible CEO Rod Bristow as advisors.
