This week, Plug and Play announced the lineup for its XDC Network RWA Accelerator program, which launched on March 18. The three-month initiative features tokenization projects and collaborations with industry stakeholders, all with an eye to real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. Plug and Play will host the accelerator at its Silicon Valley headquarters, focusing on advancing innovation in tokenization across the U.S.
Created in collaboration with the XDC Foundation, the accelerator aims to springboard the development of tokenization applications on the XDC Network. All program participants will integrate with the XDC Network.
“Silicon Valley has long been the cradle of tech innovation,” said XDC Foundation director Matthew Weisenthal. “Today, XDC and Plug and Play are at the forefront of another era—the tokenization renaissance as we witness a renewed enthusiasm for building in the digital asset space. The projects emerging now will not only cement the XDC Network as a leader in RWA development but also enrich Silicon Valley and usher in the next chapter of on-chain finance in the U.S.”
The inaugural cohort was whittled down from 100 RWA and enterprise-focused applicants:
- Blockticity
- Clearpool
- Credefi
- InvestaX
- Nomyx
- Polytrade
- Plume
- Tokeny
- TouchBrick
- Zero Hash
- Zoth
“Participating in the XDC Network RWA accelerator program through Plug and Play represents an excellent opportunity for Plume to share its unique set of tools for RWA on-chain,” said its co-founder Chris Yin. “With our platform securing billions in RWAs, we feel Plug and Play’s support represents an excellent platform for global expansion. This collaboration creates a powerful opportunity to transform how the real world interacts on-chain in what we call RWAfi.”
“This collaboration represents a pivotal opportunity for Clearpool to expand our mission of transforming institutional lending through decentralized finance,” said co-founder and CEO Jacob Kronbichler. “By leveraging Plug and Play’s extensive network and the innovative capabilities of the XDC Network, we aim to accelerate the adoption of our cutting-edge liquidity protocols and expand our reach in the institutional DeFi space. This partnership will enable us to develop new, compliant financial products that bridge traditional finance with blockchain technology, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and transparent global credit market.”
This RWA accelerator allows projects to collaborate with XDC executives and receive access to Plug and Play’s corporate partnership network. The startups will participate in the three-month accelerator, culminating at the Plug and Play Silicon Valley June Summit, where they will showcase blockchain-based solutions to venture capitalist firms, Fortune 500 companies, governments, and universities.
