Quranium Survey Finds Crypto Wallet Holders Want Quantum Security But Won’t Soon Get It

A new survey conducted by Quranium, creators of the QSafe Quantum-Secure Crypto Wallet and developers of quantum-secure infrastructure, reveals a stark disconnect between crypto users’ rising security expectations and the readiness of existing wallet providers to meet them.

The survey of more than 500 active crypto wallet holders shows 78% would move their assets to a wallet with built-in quantum resistance, yet 97% say their current wallet provider has no plans to upgrade for the quantum era, or have not communicated any such intent.

This comes as crypto users prepare for a major behavioral shift:

  • 72% expect to use their crypto wallet more than traditional banking solutions within a year.
  • 71% agree there will come a time when they’ll use crypto wallets exclusively over legacy finance.

“The writing is on the wall,” said Kapil Dhiman, CEO of Quranium. “Users are telling us they want security-first infrastructure to match their shift into a fully decentralized lifestyle, and quantum protection isn’t optional. It’s essential.”

Top security fears and priorities

  • 93.5% of respondents ranked security as the top priority when choosing a wallet, far ahead of other features like conversion rates or multi-asset support.
  • 52% believe quantum computing poses a threat within five years, and 58% say most or all of their crypto holdings would be at risk in a quantum-enabled attack.
  • Only 44% understand the cryptographic protections of their current wallet, while 32% admit they have no idea what’s safeguarding their assets.
  • When asked what the industry’s top priority should be over the next year, 53% said upgrading cryptography, compared to just 15% for regulatory alignment.

QSafe: Meeting the moment

Quranium’s multi-chain QSafe Wallet is secured with native post-quantum cryptography, built from the ground up for a future where traditional encryption is obsolete.

“QSafe doesn’t wait for a patch. It was engineered to be uncrackable from inception,” said Dhiman. “This survey confirms what we’ve been building for: a community that demands quantum resilience now, not someday.”

As governments and institutions quietly move to post-quantum security, 44% of crypto users remain unaware of this transition, even as the quantum clock ticks faster.
