Michael B. Jordan Holds Significant Lead on Polymarket, Kalshi for Best Actor Oscar

Michael B. Jordan currently holds a solid lead regarding the Oscar for Best Actor on the two top prediction markets, Polymarket and Kalshi.

As it stands right now, Jordan is at 58% on Kalshi ($17 million+ in volume) and 59% on Polymarket ($11 million+).

Eating Jordan’s dust is Timothee Chalamet at 37% on Polymarket and 33% on Kalshi.

In recent days, the scuttlebutt is that there is a “Stop Chalamet” following unfortunate comments regarding traditional performing arts, among other criticisms.

Regarding the Best Picture Oscar, Leo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another appears unbeatable at 78% (Polymarket) and 77% (Kalshi). Trailing far behind is Sinners, led by Jordan at 22% (Kalshi) and 20% (Polymarket).

There is a cornucopia of other event-driven events at the annual award ceremony.

While detractors tend to lambast the Oscars as rewarding films that the hoi polloi do not even watch and politics playing a more important role in winning, many people do tune in to watch the event, whether to see who wins, or who says something really embarrassing or stupid.

Perhaps prediction markets will drive up viewership this year, as bets are in, odds are moving, and there is a chance to win some money beyond Vegas.
