Maybank buys remaining Maybank Ageas Holdings stake for $1.18B

Malayan Banking, better known as Maybank, gets the remaining 31% stake from Belgian insurer Ageas. It now has full control of the Etiqa insurance arm.

Allianz buys UOB asset management services for $434M

An arm of Germany’s Allianz bought United Overseas Bank’s asset management services. UOB is based in Singapore. This is Allianz’s second Singaporean acquisition in a month, following a $2.1 billion deal for HSBC’s life and health insurance business.

Israeli VC Team8 lands $365M investment

The majority, $265 million, will drive Team8’s third fund, while $100 million is for follow-up investments in select firms. The third fund focuses on seed and Series A support for AI-native companies in cybersecurity, software infrastructure, fintech and digital health.

DataVault to acquire Cybercatch for $95M

Datavault is a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement, and real-world asset tokenization technologies. CyberCatch offers an AI-enabled platform for continuous compliance and cyber risk mitigation. It is expected to be integrated into Datavault AI’s Quantum Private Network (QPN) GPU ecosystem.

Cybersecurity firm Corma lands $60M seed

It was led by Sequoia Capital, alongside Khosla Ventures and Coatue. Corma brings together expertise across pre-training, post-training, offensive and defensive cybersecurity – uniting frontier AI researchers from Google and DeepMind with cybersecurity experts from groups within Israel’s 8200 Unit and cybersecurity companies.

Multiplier Holdings raises $35M for AI accounting platform

The transaction values the company at $300 million. The raise was led by General Partnership VC with support from Ribbit Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Wealthtech firm Stable Money welcomes $14.3 M Series C

It was led by The Fundamentum Partnership, with participation from Peak XV Partners, RTP Global, and Z47. All are previous supporters. Peak XV led a February round of $25 million

Banking infrastructure provider M2P Fintech raises $11M debt deal

The money from Alteria Capital will fund AI infrastructure and enhance lending, payments, and core banking software capability.

Pinegap secures $8M Series A for AI equity research

Stellaris Venture Partners led the round. Pinegap builds AI agents that mimic a fund’s investment style, private data, and output formats. It launched in early 2025

B2B fintech GetVantage gets $6.6M

The Mumbai firm’s round was co-led by Rajeev Ahuja and SanRaj Group. Participants included Chiratae Ventures, Varanium Fintech Fund, and VCMint.

GetVantage’s Rise Up Fund provides women entrepreneurs with growth capital. It was founded in 2020 by Bhavik Vasa.

Retail fraud detection company Clarity earns $4.4M seed

It was led by LMnT Ventures, with participation from Regeneration VC, Humba Ventures, and Massive Technology Ventures. AI-powered technology helps retailers detect returns fraud in three seconds or less without opening the box. It can detect counterfeit goods, product swaps, and missing pieces.

India’s PayGlocal lands $3.84M

The cross-border payments startup gets the infusion from existing investor BEENEXT. More than four years ago, PayGlocal raised a $12M Series B from a group that included BEENEXT, Sequoia Capital India and Tiger Global.

Australia’s MIST raises $3.5M

The student fintech secured the investment from DoxAI to develop financial technology supporting Australia’s international education sector.

MIST verifies and protects international students’ living funds after they arrive in the country.

Mumbai’s Mintoak acquires Dubai loyalty firm ICC Loyalty

Mintoak develops merchant QR codes for banks. Its backers include PayPal Ventures, Z3Partners, and Pravega Ventures.

Atlas Merchant Capital leads Edge Focus minority investment

Edge Focus provides technology, capital, and access to consumer credit. Terms were not disclosed.

Brazil’s PicPay acquires digital insurance provider Kovr

The parent company of PicPay Bank – Banco Múltiplo S.A. (“PicPay”) acquired Kovr Participações S.A. and subsidiaries.

OpenFX acquires Global Ledger

OpenFX is a real-time cross-border money movement platform. It plans on launching multi-currency accounts. Named USD accounts can send and receive over ACH, Fedwire and SWIFT, and are effective in more than 100 countries, with more to follow.

Citi to acquire Kard Financial

Citi’s U.S. Consumer Cards business adds Kard Financial, a commerce media and rewards platform that provides personalized offers.
