More than $300 million in tokenized stocks has now been deposited into decentralized finance protocols, according to recent data from Token Terminal.
The figure represents a 2,451.5% increase over the past year, underscoring how quickly holders are moving equity tokens from passive wallets into on-chain lending markets, liquidity pools, and other yield-generating venues.
The dataset tracks deposits from 20 tokenized stock issuers.
Leadership is concentrated among a handful of platforms. xStocks accounts for 39.4% of the total, the largest share of any issuer. Robinhood follows at 23.6%, and Binance’s bStocks holds 12.8%.
Together, these three issuers represent the clear majority of capital actively deployed in DeFi.
Related Token Terminal figures place absolute amounts near $118 million for xStocks, roughly $71 million for Robinhood, and about $38 million for bStocks, consistent with the reported market-share percentages of a roughly $300 million total.
This shift marks a transition from pure issuance toward productive use.
Tokenized equities are increasingly treated as composable collateral and liquidity rather than static representations of underlying shares.
Holders appear motivated by the ability to earn additional yield through lending markets, fixed-rate or yield-trading protocols, and decentralized exchange pools.
Venues such as Uniswap (v3 and v4), Kamino Lend, and Pendle have emerged as notable destinations for these deposits. Individual assets including STRCx (a tokenized Strategy preferred share), FWDI, and SPYx rank among the larger contributors by value locked.
Issuers that prioritize deep integrations with existing DeFi infrastructure appear to benefit most.
Platforms that make their tokens readily usable across lending, liquidity, and structured-yield products give holders more practical reasons to keep capital on-chain instead of simply holding or trading it on centralized venues.
xStocks, in particular, has built extensive connections with Solana-native protocols, which helps explain its leading position in deposits even as newer entrants from Robinhood and Binance have expanded overall supply.
The broader tokenized equity market has grown substantially alongside this DeFi activity, with total on-chain value estimated in the multi-billion-dollar range in recent months.
Deposits into DeFi protocols still represent only a fraction of that overall market capitalization, yet the year-over-year growth rate of more than 24-fold indicates accelerating utilization.
Activity remains concentrated across a limited number of issuers and chains, with Solana, Robinhood Chain, and BNB Chain hosting the bulk of deposits.
Most issuers operate from jurisdictions outside the United States, reflecting regulatory and distribution realities that have shaped the sector’s rapid expansion.
For users, the practical effect is greater capital efficiency: tokenized stock positions can serve as collateral to borrow against, supply liquidity for trading fees, or participate in rate markets without requiring a full sale of the underlying exposure.
For issuers, the data reinforces that composability functions as a competitive advantage.
Those that treat integration with DeFi venues as a strategic priority capture a disproportionate share of productive capital.
While $300 million remains modest relative to traditional equity markets, the scale and speed of the increase highlight a maturing use case for tokenized stocks. Continued growth will depend on further protocol integrations, sustained user demand for yield, and the ability of leading issuers to maintain liquidity and reliability across the venues where capital is deployed.
