With less than 48 hours until its Crowdcube campaign is set to close, the London Doctors Clinic has successfully secured its initial £600,000 funding goal thanks to nearly 250 investors. The clinic launched the initiative earlier this summer.
As previously reported, the London Doctors Clinic offers 15-minute consultations to the city’s residents starting at £55 and has treated over 3,000 patients. Since its commercial debut last year, the clinic has expanded to 6 clinics, which are located near transportation hubs in central London (Waterloo, Victoria, Soho Square, Kings’ Cross, Liverpool street, and London bridge. The London Doctors Clinic revealed all doctors are NHS registered and offer medical services like blood tests and referrals.
Founder of London Doctors Clinic, Dr. Seth Rankin, previously stated:
“London is a unique economy with lots of dislocated people. The price points may be different in the provinces, and the spread of clinics would be different. There’s more of a personal note – people know their GP. But we’re certainly looking to expand outside of London.”
During a recent update, Rankin thanked investors for helping to fund the campaign and also revealed the clinic saw 298 patients the last week of July and surpassed its monthly revenue target.
Funds from the campaign will be used for the clinic’s infrastructure along with sales and marketing. Those that invest in the campaign will receive free consultations. The initiative is set to close on Wednesday.
