Fuel 3D Raised Over $325,000 Crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Will Announce Further Funding.
Fuel 3D continues to march towards production with first round devices scheduled to ship this April. The developer of 3D scanning solutions, has announced its plans to impress the audience as the company prepares to exhibit at the 3D Printshow in New York City. The company also plans to announce further funding news at the event.
Fuel3D is an affordable handheld 3D scanner that delivers high resolution shape and color capture for a range of 3D modeling applications, such as 3D printing, as well as on-screen applications like 3D art, animation and game development. The scanner’s ability to accurately capture color 3D models of the face is ideally suited to the rapidly growing trend of personalization.
“The big question in 3D today is how to help printing enthusiasts to create unique content, and we think the Fuel3D scanner provides the answer,” said Stuart Mead, CEO, Fuel 3D Technologies. “We’re looking forward to discussing our new funding and future plans with the delegates at 3D Printshow.”
Throughout the show, visitors to the company’s stand will be able to see a block model of the Fuel3D scanner’s new product design as well as have a free 3D scan of their own face taken by a prototype scanner. They will then be able to access their file online to apply their image to a 3D object, embed into a video game, or experiment with other applications. Attendees will also be able to pre-order Fuel3D scanners during the event.
Fuel 3D Technologies will be running workshops that introduce show participants to the features and functions of the Fuel3D scanner. These interactive sessions will provide an in-depth view of the technology and software that make the Fuel3D a game-changing solution for the 3D industry.
