Investment crowdfunding platform Crowdcube has created a cool infographic sharing some insight into the first mini-bond ever to be offered online. Chilango, a hugely popular London restaurant chain, launched the mini-bond offering earlier this year to lead the way. Dubbed the “Burrito Bond” the securities offer raised £2.16 million while ushering in a new type of capital raising on Crowdcube.
The average investment for the offer stands at £2900 as 748 investors participated in the round. 22% of the investors were female.
Chilango will be using the funds to expand their locations around London. No word on when they will cross the Atlantic and bless us Yankees with their fabled Burritos.
