Brief: Weissenhaus Generates € 1 Million in Revenue for August

European crowdfunding record holder Weissenhaus has shared an update on the ongoing project stating that operating revenue for the month of August exceeded €1 million.

Weissenhaus is a posh resort located on the North Sea near Hamburg, Germany, that was purchased by well known financiere Jan Henric Buettner. An investment crowdfunding campaign is still funding on Companisto where €4.38 million has been raised to date. A maximum target of €5 million has been set.

Jan Henric BuettnerThe resort apparently registered 1600 guests in July and 2500 in August. Buettner is in the process of reinvigorating the resort – a destination he enjoyed in his youth. As Winter approaches strategy will shift to corporate events and the spa facilities.

The high profile investment opportunity has generated significant press across Europe and is being highlighted to validate the new form of raising capital.

Buettner stated;

“Apart from the crowd’s support that we gained with WEISSENHAUS, we are very pleased that crowdfunding is being considered as a serious source of financing for exciting projects and startups.”
