As previously reported, Braxton Brewery hit the crowdfunding giant to raise $30,000 to create what the brewhouse called “the Taproom of the Future.” The project not only hit its initial goal within just 34 hours and raised $71,885 from over 600 backers. It also surpassed previously record brewery campaign holders, Tributary Brewing ($65,565) and Modern Times Brewery ($65,471), on the crowdfunding giant’s platform.
According to Cincinnati Business Courier, the brewery and taproom is hosting its grand opening in Covington on March 27th. Braxton is also planning to begin distributing of its first two brews: Storm Golden Cream Ale and Jumper Hopper Wheat Ale.
Co-founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing Co., Jake Rouse stated, “Words can’t quite express how truly excited we are to open these doors and share our beer with the community that has lifted us up over the past year.”
Braxton’s taproom includes gigabit Internet from Cincinnati Bell. The brewery will also have a 20-tap draft system, a PEGAS growler filler and a special event room available for larger parties.
Rouse then added, “The taproom of the future is about experiencing beer in a whole new way. We’ve been hard at work with our development, New Coast Ventures, to bring this vision to life. We want people to learn more about our beer, stay up-to-date on what’s happening in the beer-drinking community and easily find Braxton beer on tap.”
Braxton’s opening will also include the unveiling of a Nelter Small Batch mural, four brews on tap, tours of the brewery and performances from local music groups.
