This week, Crowdcube announced that more than 100,000 investors have joined its well-known equity crowdfunding platform this year.
The website shared:
“Just a few months ago (September to be precise) we announced that £100m had been successfully invested into businesses through Crowdcube since we launched in 2011. We’re now incredibly proud to say that we’ve had 100,000 people join us this year alone – taking us to over 230,000 members and re-confirming our position as the Number 1 platform globally. None of this would have been achievable without our crowd of savvy investors so thank you to each and every one!”
Crowdcube also provided a new infographic that offers up more details about its platform’s growth.
Serial Crowdcube investor, Will Perrin, revealed his thoughts about investing on the crowdfunding platform:
“Sitting in the airport before heading off on holiday, I was browsing crowdfunding sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter on my tablet and thought ‘wouldn’t it be great if there was a platform which offered investors equity in businesses, instead?’. I did a Google search, and there was Crowdcube!
“I did an MBA and I enjoy testing what I’ve learned; to see if I can make a good investment based on my knowledge. The pitch videos give you a sense of how professional the business is, and all the numbers are there if you need them.
“Every time I meet someone I tell them about the companies I’ve invested in, and quite often they go off and register themselves!”
