Velorution, a UK-based bicycle retailer, has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. It is seeking to raise £500,000 for its London and South East expansion. The company is offering 12% in equity to investors.

Velorution 3The company describes itself as one of London’s leading premium urban cycling retailers. It is looking to bring innovative and unique cycling products to customers, which are known as “Velorutionaries.”

“We constantly seek to surprise, delight and satisfy our patrons by curating the most superb and select range of urban cycles, apparel and accessories.”

During a previous interview, commercial manager Conrad Lewis revealed details about the brand’s products:

“We travel the world to find these brands. We’re just back from Taipei with a few fresh ideas. Often we’re approached by labels who understand the Velorution business and want to be involved. Quality is always our priority when choosing which brands to carry.”

Director of marketing, Gretta Cole commented:

Velorution 1“We like to offer the whole cultural experience. You’ll have spotted that we also sell a range of Hassleblad cameras and the reason for that is that we like to offer our customers a truly immersive urban cycling experience. We’ve covered the A-to-Z of riding in style, from own brand tweed jackets, to artwork for the home. We enjoy strong sales with own brand goods. Thanks to an innovative team of designers, we were able to respond to what we saw as a gap in the quality leather cycle shoe market, so we launched our own.”

“Quality is of paramount importance, but that doesn’t mean we’re all about getting from A-to-B as fast as possible. We’re huge fans of everyday cycling and doing so in comfort. We’ve a deep range of stock carried simply to allow the rider to arrive in comfort – that’s very important if we’re ever to grow cycling in the UK to Danish levels, for example.”

Funds from the initiative will go towards opening more stores across London and the South-East and increase the circulation of our Velorution magazine. Since its launch, the campaign has secured £175,000.
